The Turin Giants Name Former Italian National Team Manager Spalletti
The Serie A powerhouse have chosen ex- Azzurri head coach Spalletti to lead the team for the rest of the term.
The 66-year-old replaces the Croatian manager, who was let go post the Lazio setback on Sunday.
Tudor had joined the club in March filling the shoes of Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint after an eight-game winless streak.
Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, who had failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.
He secured their spot in Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.
Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.
Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.
Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese which left them seventh in Serie A - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.
They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
